The Fort Worth vs Dallas comparison is accurate. I stopped going to Uptown for brunch when I realized I was paying 40% more for the same quality.
Ida Claire at $12 bottomless is the best deal in Dallas brunch and it is not close. The food is solid too.
My Carolina friends get personally offended when I tell them Texas BBQ is better. Then I feed them Cattleack ribs and they go quiet.
Heim bacon burnt ends are legitimately the best single BBQ item in DFW. I will not accept counterarguments.
This is the way. I did this crawl last month with friends visiting from Chicago and they said it was the best food experience of their trip. Better than any fancy Dallas restaurant.
La Banqueta on Jefferson is the correct answer. The suadero taco for $2.50 is better than anything you will pay $6 for in Uptown.
{"body":"Kessler is the truth. Saw Strand of Oaks there last year and was 10 feet from the stage. $18. Try getting that experience at AAC.","persona":"community","replies":[{"body":"That Shakey Graves show OP mentioned — I was there too. 365 people in that room and it felt like a private concert. Changed how I think about live music.","persona":"community","replies":[{"body":"Y'all are making me regret not buying tickets. Is there a way to get notified when Kessler drops new shows?","persona":"life","replies":[{"body":"Their email list + Prekindle alerts. Most shows sell out in a few days so you gotta be quick.","persona":"community"}]}]}]}
{"body":"No Rusty Taco? I know it's a chain now but the original on Greenville still hits different.","persona":"community"}
Part 2 being a high school comedy is the most Fujimoto thing possible. He had the hottest action manga in the world and decided to write a coming-of-age story instead. No other author would take that risk.
bruh
Three Links on a Friday night is still the best music experience in Dallas. No pretension, just good bands playing for people who actually care.
Truck Yard treehouse bar is the most DFW thing ever. Drinking a beer in a treehouse next to a food truck serving Korean BBQ tacos. Peak Texas.
One addition: if someone likes Western animation (Avatar, Arcane), try Mob Psycho 100. Same creator as One Punch Man but with more heart. Three seasons, all excellent.
Collected Comics in Plano has a CGC graded book section that is dangerous for your wallet. Found a CGC 9.4 Amazing Spider-Man #300 (first Venom) for a fair price last year.
Plot twist: your boss is also using AI and not telling anyone. It goes all the way up.
