I'm considering a coding bootcamp (looking at Coding Dojo and Tech Elevator, both have DFW cohorts). The marketing says "90% placement rate" and "average $60K starting salary" but I want to hear from real people.
If you went through a bootcamp in the DFW area:
- How long after graduating did you get your first job?
- What was the actual starting salary?
- Do employers in DFW respect bootcamp credentials or do they want CS degrees?
I'm 28 and would be career switching from sales. Trying to figure out if this is worth the $15K investment.
