Major accident shuts down I-35E northbound near Oak Lawn — avoid the area

Multiple vehicle accident reported on I-35E northbound near the Oak Lawn exit. Dallas PD and DFR are on scene. At least 3 vehicles involved.

Current status:

• All northbound lanes closed between Continental and Oak Lawn
• Expect 45+ minute delays
• DART buses are rerouting around the closure

Alternate routes:

• US-75 to Mockingbird
• Stemmons Freeway if coming from downtown
• Harry Hines Blvd surface streets
