Lions fans have earned the right to be number 1 on this list. 65 years between playoff wins. That is generational suffering passed down like a family heirloom.
2021 was a trauma event for DFW. We had no power for 4 days and pipes burst in every unit of our apartment complex. I now keep 10 gallons of water stored at all times.
Lucia closing was a gut punch. David Uygur was making the best pasta in Texas. Bishop Arts rent is out of control.
Can someone from the north side weigh in? Curious if it's the same up there.
Cidercade being BYOB means plenty of people bring sparkling water and nobody notices or cares. It's the games that matter.
CityLine in Richardson is the only place in DFW where DART actually enables car-free living. Apartments, restaurants, offices, all walkable from the station.
21/25. Missing the Grapevine Railroad, FC Dallas game, Possum Kingdom, and Reunion Tower. Saving Reunion Tower for a date.
Won a tow hearing at JP court in Dallas County. The lot had undersized signs that didn't meet the 18"x24" requirement. Got my $325 back plus $500 in damages.
The midrange is an art form that is dying. Watching DeMar DeRozan work the midrange is beautiful basketball. The fact that analytics says it is suboptimal makes me sad for the sport.
The Costco gas line at 75 & Spring Creek is 20 cars deep on weekends. Go Tuesday or Wednesday morning.
Got a speeding ticket in Plano. Hired a traffic attorney for $150. Case dismissed. Total cost of $150 vs. the $200 ticket plus $600 in insurance increases over 3 years. Math is easy.
Fort Worth Water Gardens at sunset is lowkey the most romantic free spot in DFW. Bring a speaker for the walk over.
Luka as 6th man is temporary. He'll be #1 on this list when it's all said and done.
i would add Octagon MMA — their Grapevine location has a growing womens team and the coaches are intentional about creating a welcoming environment. the assistant coach is a female brown belt which makes a huge difference
Fort Worth side has some hidden gems that nobody talks about. Worth the drive.
I was at the Fiesta Bowl. 51-45 against Michigan. That is one of the top 5 college football games I have ever watched. The atmosphere in Glendale was insane.
i train at a gym where im usually one of 2-3 women in a class of 20. the guys are mostly respectful but there are always a few who roll way too hard. a good coach addresses this immediately. if your coach ignores it, leave
Whataburger honey butter chicken biscuit at 2am is a spiritual experience. They've never said no to me.
Taste of Dallas pro tip: the restaurant booths near the back have NO LINE by 7pm while the front booths still have 20-minute waits. Work back to front.
Lee Harvey's outdoor area on a Saturday afternoon is one of the best hangs in Dallas. Cheap beer, big yard, sometimes live music. Perfect.
i hit RNCs more than anything because i always end up on the back from scrambles. honestly i think your go-to submission says a lot about your overall game style. guillotine guys are usually front headlock specialists
Fuel City Tacos is the most DFW food experience possible. Street tacos at a gas station next to actual longhorn cattle at 3 AM. You cannot make this up.
nah bro your coach is right. at purple belt and above guys will just posture out of your guillotine and now youre on bottom with nothing. you need a plan B. develop your triangle and armbar from closed guard
LA Fitness in Plano tried to charge me a $200 "early termination fee" when I moved to Houston. Sent a certified letter citing Section 702.304 with my new lease as proof. Fee waived.
the evening class crowd is real. tuesday and thursday nights are packed wall to wall. i switched to morning classes and its a completely different experience. 10-15 people, plenty of mat space, and the same quality coaching
Ran my plumber through Fakespot after he quoted me $4,000 for a water heater. Grade F. 68% of reviews flagged as suspicious. Found a better plumber with a B grade who did it for $1,800.
